iSolv’s DMR1000 is a cost-effective, purpose-built appliance  that offers ease-of-use and reliability for digital voice recording applications within the lawful interception (LI) domain.

An essential part of any lawful interception (LI) platform, is the front-end containing a digital call recording capability to handle the call content routed to the law enforcement agency (LEA) monitoring facility.

DMR1000 Recorder Appliance

iSolv offers a complete, simple and scaleable solution to address all call recording needs within an LI platform in a cost-effective package. The DMR1000 features an embedded Linux operating system for maximum reliability while integrating seamlessly into existing Windows and Unix network environments.

Purpose-built for Lawful Interception

The DMR1000 is purpose-built for LI with built-in ISDN D-channel decoding and recording control capabilities that augment the call record database and call recordings stored on the appliance.

This means that the DMR1000 does not require external D-channel decoding and recording control equipment. Both the user-to-user (UUS) and sub-addressing (SUB) methods of conveying call-related information are supported and is in compliance with the ETSI TS-101-671 standard.

Control directly or Access from the network

Control the DMR1000 directly by simply plugging in a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Monitor and play back recordings right at the appliance.

Alternatively, use our full-featured client software from Microsoft Windows workstations on a local-area network (LAN), to enable up to 32 simultaneous users to search, recall, analyze and play back captured recordings directly off the appliance.

Storage for Months and Years

RAID-1 dual mirrored 250GB hard drive option is available for redundancy, yielding 41,250 channel hours of recording at 13.3kb/s. Optional 400GB hard drives yield 66,000 channel hours. For archiving, a single 9.4GB DVD-RAM drive is provided standard which holds 1,540 channel hours of audio.

Scalable and Flexible

On/off-hook, VOX, and continuous record activation are all selectable on a per-channel basis. The DMR1000 appliance also supports DTMF and CLID telephone number detection.

Compression rates of 13kb/s GSM, ADPCM 16kb/s, 32kb/s, or Mu-Law 64kb/s are selectable for each group of channels.

Configuration is programmable through the client software - no tricky hardware adjustments are needed. The DMR1000 also provides built-in transcoding and stereo-to-mono conversion capability to provide recordings in the format your application requires.

User Rights and Access Security

The system administrator can create multiple user profiles to allow permissions to be managed down to the channel level using user ID and password security. Extensive access permissions may be defined per user.

Users can also be assigned to groups and managers can assign rights to users to access for example only their own calls, or calls of specific groups.

Ease of Integration

Multiple DMR1000s can be installed and be operational on a single network without interfering with your existing network or servers. The call record database and recorder files are accessible from the DMR1000 over the network.

Feature-rich Client Software

The client software provided with the DMR1000 enables access from an unlimited number of standard workstations running Microsoft Windows, and up to 32 workstations can simultaneously access the DMR1000.

The client software is provided as a self-contained executable package that installs and configures the client to provide access

to the call record database and recordings on the appliance.

All call records are stored in a state-of-the-art relational database within the DMR1000 appliance. The software provides a feature for search filtering by channel, time/date, duration, dialed number, DTMF, Caller ID, call direction or call tag.

All installed channels of playback or live monitoring are available simultaneously off the appliance. You can create PC-compatible WAV files of single calls or all calls that comprise an incident and export calls in mono or stereo recording WAV format for playback and analysis in other applications.

Some of the features offered by the client software include:

Flexible layout providing dynamic views, column sorting and filtering, re-sizeable windows and

context-sensitive help.

Search calls by any record parameter, such as input channel and call start time.

Create associations between incidents and call records through annotations which are to be stored

with the call records.

Select calls for playing from the play list and stream the call directly off the appliance.

Play or live monitor any number of channels simultaneously with individual channel volume & pan

controls.

Loop playback, speed control, fast-forward and rewind calls while listening.

View call properties and access call archives.

Create CDs or make WAV files directly from the application at any time.

View the detailed analysis of the raw frames provided in the D-channel signaling for a call.
